Fashion Friday: Cluster of Clutches

Happy Fashion Friday where we will celebrate the fabulousness of the clutch! For snazzy date nights, special occasions, and evening events, the clutch is your go-to handbag of choice and for obvious reasons. I mean who wants to lug around your black leather work satchel on your shoulder when you’re donning the most chic LBD or lovely evening gown?

Take Charlize Theron for instance, her Oscars gown by Dior was stunning on her. She opted to not wear a clutch which is perfectly fine but imagine the horror if she had done this…

For an evening look where you are wearing a long gown, the clutch is instrumental in making sure that the eye is drawn to all aspects of your look thus bringing your entire vision together.

It’s easier to pair that chic clutch with your evening look but don’t be afraid to make it work for daytime, too.

Try this for Spring/Summer 2013:

And try these looks for Fall/Winter 2013:

If the above hasn’t inspired and convinced you enough to wear a clutch with your daytime outfit…just look at how effortless and fashionable Mila Kunis looks in this Oscar de la Renta dress and quilted blue Chanel clutch. She and her outfit would not have shined near as bright if she opted for a hobo or satchel handbag. The clutch was clutch for her.

And one last image before I close out this post…we are all familiar with Alexander McQueen’s Skull Knuckle clutches so not much needs to be said but this post simply wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t feature one of these works of art and this one is definitely the coolest.

Check out Piperlime, Asos, Etsy, and DSW for some reasonably priced clutches to get this handbag habit started! I highly recommend this bright yellow to kick off your spring style.
